The Expedition:

Auyuittuq National Park comprises 19,707km2 of land, ice and sea representing the Northern Davis Natural Region on land and the Baffin Island Shelf Marine Area within the Parks Canada system. It is located on the Cumberland Peninsula at the southeast corner of Baffin Island in the territory of Nunavut, Canada. The pass cuts across the Peninsula, passing over the Arctic Circle along the way.

The hiking and skiing route traditionally begins at sea level at either end of the Pass and rises to 420 metres as at Glacier Lake.

I will begin my route from the northern town of Qikiqtarjuaq on Broughton Island and proceed to the Akshayuk pass on skis, traversing the passes traditional route and onwards to the town of Pangnirtung, 31km by sea or land from the Park boundary.

This journey is largely avoided throughout the winter months due to the extreme weather conditions with only a few elite, highly skilled guides and adventurers attempting the journey.

Parks Canada have confirmed that there is no historical records of a female solo attempt from Qikiqtarjuaq to Pangnirtung.

No woman has attempted this journey solo, until now.

Adventurer. Producer.  Stylist

My initiation into exploring started at a young age. Alongside my father, decorated British explorer, Sir David Hempleman-Adams, I became the Youngest British Female to Ski to the North Pole, aged 15.

Since then, throughout my twenties I have built a career in TV, Advertising and Fashion, producing campaigns for some of the worlds biggest and most well-known global brands, most recently finding my passion in styling within the luxury fashion industry.

Throughout my career, I have pursued every opportunity to continue adventures across the Polar regions; Climbing unclimbed mountains in Greenland, Winter trips to Baffin Island, Sailing around the Greenland coastline.

This next expedition is my latest adventure.
